This month we attended a Polo Festival organised by the Norfolk Polo Club, to scout the best dressed gentlemen of the month. The club is located at the truly stunning Langley Abbey estate, 9 miles from the centre of Norwich. Lessons are available all year round and a range of exciting tournaments throughout the summer and early autumn months. We had a fantastic day out consisting of: chukkas, cheeky chaps and champagne, what more could you want?!
First off, we quizzed Roger. A rather dapper gentleman, with a wicked sense of humour. He is caught wearing Hackett trousers, a light blue M&S shirt and a deep navy blazer from Brooke Taverner. He even reveals his boxer shorts are Calvin Klein… He loves to shop at Massimo Dutti for two reasons. Their impeccably cut clothes and outstanding customer service.
Ian is dressed head to toe in Reiss, even his loafers! We asked why.
“I adore the slim fit cut and price point.”
Although his sunglasses are Rayban. He admits to being a label snob, Ian’s all time favourite is Armani, a new close second soon to be Alexandra Wood.
We must also say we salut the guy behind donning the petrol blue chinos, and the commentator (pictured below) in a red pair. A great trendy summer choice!
Here’s a trio of cheeky chaps, all admittedly styled by Sam (right) the style guru of the group. Dressed in classic cream chinos, blue checkered shirts, brown belts and brogues. Blues and beige neutrals enhance summer tans and highlight dark features. Ivor’s umbrella is a rather practical English gent essential.
Carl’s entire outfit (pictured below) was bought for his birthday by his wife from House of Fraser! When asked why… He always has difficulty finding trousers for his leggy frame. HOF has everything in one place and an in-house tailor on hand to alter ‘off the rail’ clothing. Indicating Carl would benefit from AW bespoke tailoring services.
Finishing with our favourite of the day, Karl. He’s sporting Burberry chinos, a navy Austin Reed tailored blazer and red pinstripe shirt. He accessorises with a Nike+ Fuel band. We also discovered his shoes were handmade especially for him in Budapest by Ludwig Reiter. His charm, classic style with a hint of sportiness encompasses true AW brand handwriting.
