Whether you’re a Luther addict or not, we’re pretty sure you’ve seen this suave guy in the media whether it’s for his acting or his music career. Idris Elba is undeniably cool which is why he’s our Man of the Month this March.
What do we know about Idris Elba?
Apart from the fact that he’s super cool and talented he’s also got an OBE as an honour for his services to drama plus a Golden Globe award. He’s also done some kickboxing and is currently in the charts DJing on song ‘Boasty’ with Wily, Sean Paul and Stefflon Don.
Most recently (as in last night!) Idris took home 2 awards at the National Film Awards UK 2019. He was awarded Best Director for his work on crime drama Yardie.
The drama also received its own award for Best Drama at the ceremony so there was plenty of reason for celebration for Idris!
Did we mention he was cool?
He has been with his partner, Sabrina Dhowre since 2017 and they were engaged last February.
Idris Elba’s Style
We know he can rock a sharp suit but Idris also looks great in smart casual wear. We’d say his style is pretty classic. When smart casual he tends to stick to classic navy knits with some smart trousers and he also mixes it up with a pop of colour which we love.
His look is the perfect mix of classic and contemporary. He’s always well groomed and has a great eye for detail. His sophisticated personality comes through in his style (his trademark smoulder may also have something to do with that!)
How would we dress Idris?
We adore his fashion sense and his charisma adds to his style in every outfit we see him in.
If we could choose any outfit for him, it would have to be a green silk blend sports jacket and a pair of silk blend beige trousers paired with some suede loafers. Perfect for a summers evening. The light green, which is in no way overpowering, would look fantastic with his skin tone as would the beige trousers for some sporting event chic!
Idris, you’re a true style icon, gentleman and an all round brilliant bloke!
Who do you want to see as Man of the Month April 2019? We’d love to know your thoughts, let us know!
