This wedding is one for the history books, or wedding history books at least. For the very first time, ITVs This Morning reached out to viewers wishing to get married live on TV.
Gareth & Annie were the couple chosen to have their special moment and well deserved it was too. The couple were set to marry last year until she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, which a year to the day they got married she had been first diagnosed and now cleared.
Alexandra was asked to design both the Groom and best mans suits for their special day and was featured on ITV showing the preparations that go into making a suit. First with a lengthy consultation to capture their wishes, which was that he look ‘smart’ for the first time ever. A challenge Alexandra always loves to take on. Their day was to be filled with soft florals and hints of lilac. Gok Wan designed Annie’s dress and it had to work in alignment to hers, so that they complimented each other to perfection.
The flowers designed by Amie Bone Flowers were out of this world and completely transformed the ship on which they married. Annie looked like a dream in her Gok Wan dress and Gareth looked rather Great Gatsby-esque in his slick hair and buttoned down contrast collar, with a well fitted grey, plaid suit which Gareth instantly fell in love with. The Groom and Best Man were greeted by Rylan Clarke on a boat, to which the best man stated “Lifelong ambition of mine fulfilled.”
While watching the live wedding, you couldn’t help but shed a tear, as there’s nothing better than two people who clearly love, adore and respect each other like these two clearly do.
Annie said: “Thank you for making my husband look so amazing!”
Here at AW, we wish them nothing but a life of love and laughter x
