Has the way Men purchase wedding suits changed?

Men think practically about their wedding suits, while Women think about their dress in entirely different way, with most Women wearing their dress only for the special day. It is seen as piece to treasure forever and why not?

Men tend to think far more practically and consider this a purchase with a future. Perhaps it’s a good reason to justify the expense on the already hefty bill or maybe it’s because Men are just so darn savvy with their money. I’ll leave that for you to decide 🙂 I tend to agree that this is your wedding day, so why not splurge and wear a suit that fits beautifully and can be worn time and time again. This is why, its actually ideal to invest in a bespoke wedding suit!

This year in particular, I’ve seen a big change in the way Men purchase their wedding suits. A couple of years ago, Men would always come along with their fiancé and she would have a strong view of what suit they would be wearing. Now, this is not so much the case, with most of my Grooms choosing their own suit colour/style and design (with me on board to steer them in the right direction of course)

Further still, they’re insisting that the bride to be doesn’t even see the suit. Does this make a massive change to the way weddings are usually perceived, that this day is a day that a woman has dreamt of for years? Perhaps its becoming more of a balanced event or merely for the guys to be Bond, if only for one day!

If you’re going it alone, here are a few things to consider:

  • What colour scheme has been chosen
  • The time of year you’re getting married
  • Does the colour you have in mind compliment your skin tone
  • What accessories will you put with it
  • Do you want to purchase a bespoke suit or hire
