Blue suit for a Summer wedding – July 2015
A friend of Stephens had recommended me and asked if I could design his suit for his and Lindsey’s special day, and as ever, I was delighted. Their theme was romantic, soft floral and full of love, set in Yorkshire where the couple are from.
Stephen had his mind set on blue for his wedding suit and I personally think it’s one of the most flattering suit colours to wear for your wedding.
I ran through the various shades with Stephen, explaining that different colours work wonders with your skin tone and some don’t. When you’re wearing a suit that will be seen in many a photograph, you don’t want to be making the wrong choice. We decided on a vibrant but soft blue, which would bring out the blue in Stephens eyes and work well with the rest of the colour scheme.
It’s important that a suit is comfortable to wear all day long, looks great in photos and fits like a glove. The fabric Stephen chose was a Target Gaberdine, pure 100s wool, which is smooth to the touch, full of colour and ideal to make you look extra special on your wedding day.

Stephen wrote after the wedding and said:
“I have to say, I nearly got as many compliments as Lindsey did. Thanks again for making me such a wonderful sit and helping make our day as special as it was.”
